What I am doing right now

First, a little over a month ago, I have started a new project, which is to create a new programming language called Quaint. The source code I have so far is available, but the language is not in a working state. There is a parser and highlighter, neither are probably final. I am slowly making progress, right now I am making a core computation model for it that I believe will allow me to prototype semantics very efficiently (but we will see about that!)

Second, this month I am doing Nanowrimo. In short, the goal is to write 50,000 words of fiction in November (which amounts to an average of approximately 1,667 words per day). I have decided to write short stories, but the first one, which I am writing right now, is already 13,000 words and it is not nearly finished (I expect it to be 20,000 to 25,000 words long, but I don’t know). I am keeping pace and am confident to succeed. I write the stories in French and will post them here when they are finished, for the benefit of those who can read them.

Reviving this blog

From now on, I will (try to) post once a week. At the moment, my backlog consists of essays on: artificial intelligence, consistency of thought, free will, (what is) intelligence, programming language design and polarization of ideas. So I’m good until the start of August :)
